The most powerful attraction is the venerated painting of Our Lady of the Rosary, which depicts the Virgin Mary and Child Jesus surrounded by Saint Dominic and Saint Catherine of Siena and presenting rosaries.

This sacred image was carried from Naples to Pompeii on the 13 November 1875, when the new city was born. From then on, during the anniversary people can “kiss” the painting in order to pray, ask for saving grace and express gratitude for the gift of faith.

The church was built by Bartolo Longo who was consecrated on 26 October 1980. Now his relics are in chapel to him dedicated.
