Getting to Pompeii
Pompeii is a center-located town close to the great city on the sea of Campania, Naples and Salerno. At the foot of Vesuvius Pompeii is easily reachable from the North and from the South with all the various means of transport.
BY PLANE: From the Capodichino Airport of Naples, take the train or bus to Pompeii.

BY CAR: Take highway A1 toward Napoli-Salerno, exit Pompei Est-Scafati. From the NORTH, from Salerno Reggio-Calabria, drive toward Napoli-Salerno and exit at Scafati-Pompeii Est. From the SOUTH, from Napoli Bari, drive toward Napoli-Salerno and exit Pompeii Ovest.
BY BUS: Various lines run from Naples to Pompeii.

BY TRAIN: The City of Pompei is accessible by Trenitalia as well the local Circumvesuviana train. From the Naples-Sorrento line, exit at Pompei-Villa dei Mestieri. From the Napoli-Poggiomarino line (via Scafati), exit at Pompei-Santuario.
BY BOAT: From the maritime station at Naples, drive toward Napoli-Salerno and exit at Pompei-Ovest.

Getting around in Pompeii
Within an hour from Pompeii you can easily reach Naples, Salerno, Vesuvius, the Sorrento Coast, the Amalfi Coast and many other places. To move you can choose either the car or public transport.
By Circumvesuviana trains you can go from Naples to Sorrento, passing through the entire area, or from Pompeii you can get to the main tourist destinations around Vesuvius.
A short distance from the Pompeii Resort Hotel, the national train station at Pompeii connects travelers to all main cities in the region and throughout Italy.
